19 Benjamin Te Kura

Ben Te Kura began his rugby league journey as a six-year-old with the Redcliffe Dolphins, where he played throughout his junior years.

A Wavell State High School product, he didn’t make his first representative side until Year 12 — but once Te Kura broke through, he rose quickly and earned selection for both the Queensland Under 17s and Under 19s in 2022.

After progressing through the Broncos’ development system, the towering front-rower delivered strong performances for affiliate club Souths Logan Magpies, with form that earned him his NRL debut in Round 5 of the 2024 season.

The teenager made an immediate impact, scoring his first NRL try with a barnstorming run through the Melbourne Storm defensive line.

Since then, Te Kura has made five NRL appearances, and consistently churned out valuable run metres and post-contact metres.

Standing at 205cm, he is currently the tallest player in the NRL and will look to push his way back into the top grade after injury interruptions.
